Wyche PA and Conestee Nature Preserve Partner to Develop South Carolina’s First “Natural Playscape”

Wyche PAa full-service law firm with offices in upstate, has partnered with Conestee Nature Reserve to develop a “natural playscape,” the company announced on April 22.

The project, which will serve as Wyche’s second centennial legacy project to celebrate the company’s 100 years in business, will be built on the nature preserve at 840 Mauldin Road in Greenville. It will serve as a playground (without playground equipment) to encourage children to connect with nature and will join similar natural playscapes across the country, including:

A construction schedule and estimated completion date are to be determined.

“Conestee Nature Preserve’s ‘Nature Playscape’ will give children the opportunity to build log and stick forts and climb through vine tunnels, created from materials found on the preserve,” said Michael Corley, director Executive of Conestee Nature Preserve. “And the playscape will be discreetly fenced off, so parents can let their kids get wet and scramble in the man-made stream, in a controlled but natural setting. We are thrilled to partner with Wyche to bring this access to upstate families.

Wyche’s other centennial legacy project was the Greenville Center for Creative Arts’ “City of Women” exhibit of the work of more than 50 upstate artists in a variety of mediums.
