Five new brunches in Abu Dhabi you must try
Five new ways to graze…
Brunch is one of the capital’s most popular dining experiences, and because we know things taste best when served chilled, here are five of Abu Dhabi’s best new brunches to explore.
Part of the Pier 7 Trilogy by Buddha Bar, this ‘dinner and show’ concept combines exciting live entertainment with exactly the kind of fine dining you’d expect to find on a set menu at Siddharta Lounge. Happening as a sunset session, between 7pm and 11pm, your top floor perch gives you a magical twilight view of the Yas Bay waterfront.
Yas Bay, Yas Island, Saturday 7pm-11pm, soft Dhs300, house Dhs450. Tel: (050) 601 1194, @thetrilogybybuddhabar

Le Meridien Village holds a special place in the hearts of Abu Dhabi’s discerning public. Home to iconic locations, crazy promotions and truly impressive cuisine. And now, after a complete metamorphosis, the Village has become an even more attractive proposition for your joyful consideration. Mykonos, for example, with its popular Friday night brunch, has become one of the city’s best-known new attractions. Starting at 7 p.m., you are invited to enjoy three hours of bottomless drinks; a modern international feast with creative sushi rolls, healthy salads and fresh cuts straight from the barbecue; and a dazzling itinerary of live entertainment. It really is the most sophisticated kind of party.

Cafe Del Mar
The UAE outpost of the rave enclave, Cafe Del Mar is only a few months old, but it seems to have built all of the following already. The lagoon pool, boutique beach and big Ibiza beats are a rare but very welcome combination for Abu Dhabi’s vibe-hunter scores and one of the most popular weekly fixtures is the BBQ night at the Saturday. This aquatic fiesta takes place between 1pm and 5pm every Saturday, the price of 499 Dhs includes a selection of unlimited drinks, unlimited plates from the barbecue, access to the swimming pool, towels and a deck chair.
Cafe Del Mar, Yas Bay Waterfront, pool party BBQ every Saturday, 1-4pm, Dhs499. Tel: (050) 402 2283, @cafedelmarabudhabi
The kid-friendly brunch at The WB’s Sidekicks features an international buffet with, as you’d expect, a strong presence for the kid-friendly food corner. There’s a grill station, salads, pasta and pizza, but the real star of the show – it’s visits from characters from the WB’s rich catalog of great cartoons. Prices start at 185 Dhs for the flexible package, the house is at 290 Dhs and the premium at 395 Dhs.
Warner Bros. Hotel, Yas Island, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., from 185 Dhs. Tel: (02) 692 7742, @thewbabudhabi
