For decades, the Prairie has helped provide a sanctuary for plants and animals that are rarely seen in Hoosier State.
However, these species represent only a small part of the incredibly diverse list of permanent residents of Cressmoor Prairie; there are over 250 species of plants here, so your inner botanist will likely be delighted.
If you come in late spring or early summer, you’ll likely see the reserve at its best. Brightly colored wildflowers litter the landscape and attract many pollinators, like bees, butterflies, hummingbirds and more!
