Jurassic World: Dominion at Jurassic Park, cooling off with an uncapped fire hydrant, raising prices for reusable bags, removing Mardi Gras food stalls, and more: Universal Orlando Resort Photo Report 4/28/22
Welcome to another great day here at Universal Orlando Resort. Let’s go and see what happens today. The first stop of the day is at Universal Studios Florida!
At Universal Studios Florida, the food stands have all been taken down in the park. Mardi Gras has passed and we are already missing it. Especially the food.
You know it’s hot when the fire hydrant is open in New York. This fire hydrant is a water play area on the corner of Delancey Street across from the Film Vault and Transformers. It’s fun to splash around and run in the water. We love watching adults and children chilling and having fun here.
The mummy statue at the entrance to the Monster Tribute Shop moved towards the entrance of the arcade. The store is still open inside Sahara Traders, so stop by and check it out.
The building walls are in place around the entrance to Italian restaurant Louie, while Guido’s Gelato is being renovated. The exterior is already beautiful in just a few days.
Fievel’s Playland remains closed as renovations continue. There is no estimated time for the area to reopen, but we will wait.
I just paid a quick visit to prisoner 24601.
When your friend doesn’t want to go to the wizarding world, so you have to transport him to Diagon Alley.
Prices for reusable tote bags increased by $1. Wizarding World bags are more expensive than regular Universal bags.
Jurassic World packaging around the Universal Studios store has been added “Summer 2022” to the bottom of the windows.
At Islands of Adventure, Jurassic World: Dominion has taken over Jurassic Park. There are banners, cutouts, and signs around Jurassic Outfitters, Thunder Falls Terrace, and Pizza Predattoria.
Caro-Seuss-el is still covered in canvas, and we can hear the work going on behind the scenes. We will be happy to roll it again when it reopens.
Some accessories from Toon Lagoon are back. The Hush-A-Bomb detonator is back along with the spinning silverware on the Comic Strip Cafe sign.
It’s amazing how popular Spider-Man is. There is a very long queue to meet him today. We’ve seen a lot of long queues for characters to meet and greet lately now that they’re not far apart. Everyone is ready to start hugging their favorite friends again.
It’s been a long day, so we’re leaving here, but we’ll be back soon. Be sure to stay tuned to Universal Parks News Today for more updates. See you next time!
